I went between 3-5 minutes (3 minutes and 3 seconds), gave good Structure/Organization, Delivery, Content/Supporting Material and made it Persuasive. I then called DSST on the same day and verified that I could choose my own topic and on 2/13/23 I received a email response back from JN / DSST Department saying-“Public Speaking Exam Topic is by the choice of the candidate.” I did everything I was supposed to do on the test. I passed the 1st part with a 441 score (400 minimum to pass). I took the test (Public Speaking) on 2/10/23 and I completed part 2 as I had been instructed. I called a final time on 2/3/23 to schedule my Public Speaking test and once again asked her if this was the case and again she said “yes”. I then called on 1/19/23 and was told the same thing by *******. On 1/12/23 after taking another DSST exam (Personal Finance) I asked the person (******* ****) at the DSST testing site in Columbia Mo if I could think of my own topic on the 2nd part of the Principles in Public Speaking test and she said “yes”. Their are 2 other Prometric locations in the metro Phoenix area. Prometric is a monopoly and my only choice to take the test to get my Arizona life insurance license. I asked for a supervisor and was refused a supervisor I asked for the the phone number for the corporate office and was told they did not have that. I logged in and the system confirmed I still have an appointment for 3/23 after a long hold for a human I was told the website was incorrect (see attached print screen from today 4/17) and the next available appointment was tomorrow which I cannot make for religious reasons. I called the Prometric phone number and the computer who answered the call said to go to to schedule.

"Please be assured we are working diligently to complete this update as quickly as possible. On 3/13 I received and email that my appointment was canceled and, On 3/3 I found an opening for 3/23 which I rescheduled for.
Every day I logged onto their system looking for a cancelation. On I scheduled my life insurance test with Prometric at their next available appointment which was 2 months away on 4/17. I understand these people must not like their jobs, but they are putting their test-takes livelihoods at risk, and should they stop or be regulated by some SRO? I am taken aback by what transpired and how this was handled, as I've had two successful exams with Passing Scores. After 15 minutes had passed and nearing the completion of the exam, this very unpleasant lady, who also used derogatory language, told me to leave without having finished my exam.
They then let me back into the exam room to resume my exam. About 20 minutes later, the staff at the center told me that I had markings on my body after the staff reviewed the markings, which were scribbles (done earlier in the day by my child), they instructed me to wipe them off with hand sanitizer, which I did. I was then directed to my computer and began my exam. I went through the normal security procedures, all clothing bags checked, arms exposed, including a physical tap down where no issues were found. I had an unpleasant experience on Saturday, April 22, at the testing center at *** * ***** **** *** ***, Glendale, CA 91203. I will hate to lose my money over a simple adjustment of adding my 2nd last name to the registration. All they say is "this is not our department, please call this number and wait to be transferred. The people answering the phone calls are not prepared to speak with human beings. ETS says to call Prometric and no one can give a straight answer. So far I have called 5 phone numbers and the wait time is not less than 30 minutes. So, I called Prometric again and once again, the run around started again. I received a confirmation email with case#******** that says they will answer in the next 7-10 business days however, as of today, I have not received an answer.

After calling at least 5-6 different phone numbers and speaking with at least 10 plus more "customer service representatives", I was informed to submit an appeal request online. That same day I started calling Prometric to resolve the issue. When I arrived at the testing center, I was informed that I could not take the test because my 2nd last name was not in the system. I schedule (original confirmation # ****************) the ParaPro (Florida) test with Prometric over the phone.
